Questions and answers

Questions people ask before joining Spotka

Short, direct answers. Each one links to the page that says more.

What is Spotka?

Spotka is a way to spend real time with people in Warsaw around the activities you love: friends you already have and people you have not met yet. You talk to Fern, an AI agent, publish a plan of your own, join other people's plans, and meet in real life.

How it works, step by step

Can I start today?

Spotka is in early access in Warsaw. Enter your email at spotka.co/app: with an invite you sign in straight away; without one, the same email joins the launch list and the team writes when a place opens.

Is Spotka a dating app?

No. Spotka is for friendship, community and things to do. There is no swiping and no profiles ranked by photos; you join plans, one-to-one or in small groups.

Why Spotka is not a dating app

What does Spotka cost?

Spotka is free, and Spotka itself takes no payments today. A plan can carry a cost for the activity itself, such as a restaurant bill, a ticket or a rental; the host states it on the plan before you join, and you settle it with the venue or the host, not through Spotka.

Who is Fern?

Fern is Spotka's AI agent. You talk to her by voice or text in your own language; she learns what you enjoy, keeps your feed to plans that fit, and drafts invitations in your name. She never meets anyone for you and never publishes without you.

More about Fern

Which languages does Spotka speak?

Polish, English, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian. Fern answers in the language you use, and the site is in English and Polish.

Where does Spotka work?

Spotka starts in Warsaw. It works in any web browser, on iPhone through TestFlight (you need an invite from the Spotka team: write to [email protected]), and on Android as a direct download from spotka.co rather than from a store.

Do I have to publish a plan?

No. You can join other people's plans right away. Spotka asks you to publish one plan of your own because it is built around people who show up. It can be as small as coffee with a friend on Saturday, and you can invite only people you already know.

Who do I meet on Spotka?

The friends you invite and, if you leave a plan open, people in Warsaw whose interests match yours. Fern matches on what you enjoy doing, not on photos. Plans are one-to-one or small groups.

Is Spotka safe?

Every plan is published by a real person and holds the where, when and who, so you always know what you are walking into. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and report anyone who breaks the rules; the Terms let Spotka suspend accounts that put others at risk.

How safety works

Can my own AI assistant use Spotka?

Yes. Spotka has a public HTTP API and an MCP endpoint, so ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or your own agent can find plans, create events and answer invitations in your name. A key belongs to one person and can only do what that person can do in the app.

Connect over MCP

Who makes Spotka?

Spotka is made by the team behind Sponic Gardens, a Warsaw company that builds AI-native ways for people to meet in real life. Sponic Gardens has no venue of its own: Spotka plans happen in the city's own cafes, parks and venues.
